Our 8th grade outdoor class got to put their newly learned fishing skills to the test. Students studied fish habitats and species as well as fishing practices and regulations. Students then got to take a trip to Thomas Hill Lake to do some fishing.

FTA members traveled to Columbia to attend the FTA State Leadership meeting. The keynote speaker was Dannie Valentines-Huff, the 2017 Missouri Teacher of the Year.
Students participated in a college fair, with exhibits from several Missouri colleges and universities. The leadership meeting is a great opportunity for students to network with like-minded aspiring teachers, sharing information and resources specific to their career goals.
